Despite what you might think, the Isle of Wight Garlic festival promises a great day out for lovers and loathers of garlic.  Recently described as one of Britain’s best food festivals by The Times, the festival is a celebration of all things garlic – a consequence of the Isle of Wight’s status as UK’s leading garlic growing region. Besides the obvious, visitors can try a wide range of local produce, including delicious local meats and just-picked fruit.
