The other night I was doing some serious channel surfing. I had made a commitment to myself to not stay on one channel any longer than thirteen seconds. I had it all figured out. Based on the number of channels I get, and the time it would take to go through them all, I should make a complete round every twenty minutes, or three times an hour. It was my turn to hold the remote, and my girlfriend forced me to sit through the lamest romance comedy when it was her turn. But then I came across a commercial on the Home Shopping Network for a touch screen laptop. It was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen. Sleek design, beautiful response time, and a battery that lasted six hours. I couldn’t get my credit card out fast enough.
