My family and I own a small sporting goods store in town. People told me when I first opened it that it would never make when you have the big mega stores in town. However, I’ve found that by carrying specialty items I’m doing well. I just recently ordered ping pong nets and paddles to keep in my store. Additionally, we carry racquetball racquet’s and balls. I find that the big mega stores have very poor selections of the goods that aren’t considered as popular. However, there’s still a market for them. Plus, I have people come from miles around to get these items.
