How the Golf Coach Learned from His Pupil
Sports October 3rd. 2009, 12:55amAs a high school teacher and coach of our golf team, my greatest thrill is watch my golfers grow. The game has taught me about patience and self-control. It is with great enthusiasm that I try to instill these same principles in my pupils. Although it is not always easy, they often surprise me with how quickly they learn. Recently, I had the privilege of being on the receiving end of one of their lessons. A young girl demonstrated the Yardage Pro at practice. It truly was amazing how accurately this device was able to calculate the distance to the green. This gal began to help me improve my game through the use of technology. It is moments like these that help me remember why I started teaching.
