Jellyfish Cupcakes Blog

My son ran into the house the other day crying that Betsy, our black Lab, was going crazy. Outside I saw Betsy aggressively biting and chewing on her back haunches and legs. I’ve seen Hot Spots Dogs before but I’ve never seen Betsy have them.  I calmed my son down and after having wrapped the dog in a blanket we took her to the Vet’s. 

The Vet said her condition looked like she was allergic to something and we would have to run some tests. They did a scratch test like the doctor did to my son when we checked him for allergies. Not this time. They had to do an entire blood panel screening to make sure she didn’t have something more serious.  Thankfully it turned out she was allergic to corn which was in her dog food and is the same thing my son is allergic to.
