When you are going through your table tennis training and you are a beginner, you should start by working on the big 6 strokes for at least 80 percent of your training. What these are called are the forehand counterhit, backhand counterhit, forehand push, backhand push, serve, and serve return. If you are not familiar with these than it will make it very difficult to play the game correctly, and make it to the intermediate player level. This all may seem very overwhelming, but once you study it and learn it, you will be on your way to becoming a great player.
