Skeptics and Scarecrows – a Treatise on Global Warming
News January 23rd. 2010, 2:00pmI had to laugh out loud today when I watched the You Tube video of EU Parliamentarian Godfrey Bloom take the podium to address parliament on the topic of the myth of global warming. Since he was introduced as a “skeptic”, which is how detractors of the theory are often referred to, he responded in kind. He said, “Of course, you know I’m a skeptic, because I’m not dressed like a scarecrow!”, as reference, no doubt to the scraggly appearance of many of the granola crunching, tree-hugging scruffy liberals who have tried with all their collective mights to promote the agenda of global warming, so that they can somehow profit from the fears of the people.
