After heading out on a ship as just one passenger on a new steamboat, some of the survivors became infamous. The passengers who became Titanic survivors have become as infamous as the sinking of the ship itself. While the tragic wreck would have no doubt been devastating, the tragedy was suffered by large number of first class and notable Titanic passengers who perished in the ship’s disaster. However, some of the passengers on the trip who survived the wreck came back with tales of passengers and the night the Titanic sank. One of the most touching stories regarding the passengers on the Titanic is the tale of an elderly wealthy couple, the Straus’. When was announced that no male passengers on the Titanic could be allowed to board the limited lifeboats, Mrs. Straus chose to stay by the side of her husband even though it meant certain death. The couple perished together with the ship. So while many of the passengers lost their lives the day that the ship sank, Titanic survivors have come back with scary, heartwarming, sad and remarkable stories to share.
