Once you have it you can keep it
Home February 15th. 2010, 10:01amMost times now a days you can keep whatever phone number you have for a long time. I am not so sure in the US if you move out of state though you can keep it. I believe you would have to change your number but maybe not. I think my friend did but since she had a home here she might of just kept the bill coming here too. Though in the UK you need what is called a port authorisation code to be issued, it is your permission to carry your number from one cellphone carrier to another. You can also transfer data and your sim card to the new phone.
