There are many pieces of equipment available these days that make being a parent a little bit easier.  I’m not so sure about what will make the job easier after my baby is past the toddler stage, but for now I a taking advantage of things like baby monitors, bouncy chairs, and more.  I think the best thing I have purchased to day is a high quality baby playpen.  I can put my son in the playpen when I have things to do.  I can move it from room to room and know he is safe.  This provides real peace of mind.
