One of the questions my husband is always asking is “how do I alleviate sciatica?”  My simple answer is yoga.  Yoga is a powerful tool that can be used to relieve all sorts of aches and pains, not the least of which is severe back pain.  The simple breathing techniques and stretches help to relax and open the muscles surrounding the nerves, helping to ease pressures and create more flexibility.  Yoga is a very therapeutic exercise that anyone at any fitness level can do.  There are many beginner classes out there to choose from, or simply pick up a book and start practicing.
