I work in a local hospital in the pediatric floor. We had a meeting a few weeks ago about the Pals Class. This stands for Pediatric Advanced Life Support. I was actually very excited to take the two day course. It is never too late to learn something new. This class was going to teach us about respiratory failure and shock, and also about treatment for heart problems in children. Now that I have taken it, I have learned so much more than I would have ever though possible. I would encourage all health care professionals to take it, even if they do not specialize in pediatrics.
