Noise Cancelling Headphones work against ambient noise, using active noise control (ANC). Reducing more than 18 dB at 300 Hz is possible with noise cancelling headphones. Excessively high volume would be unnecessary while listening to music; noise cancelling technology will make it unnecessary. Because noise cancelling headphones decrease environmental noise from vehicles, air conditioning, etc. by one-eighth, listening to music is pleasanter. Panasonic noise cancelling headphones include soundproofing also; ANC is not as effectual at mitigating higher frequency noise. An AAA battery is used to power antinoise signal generation in the noise cancelling headphones. Ambient sound that is continuous like the hum of air conditioning is what Panasonic noise cancelling headphones counteract efficiently. But remember that quick-to-change audio signals like human voices are less vulnerable to being affected.
