Most people that collect coins tend to go for gold and silver. Platinum coins tend to be forgotten or overlooked. Sure, most mints tend to release coins that are made from either gold or silver but so to some extent you are restricted by what is currently available. In Western Australia, however, one mint makes a diverse range of coins that are forged from platinum. These Australian platinum coins are appropriately themed and make for super unique gifts due to the limited mintage and presentation case they are released in. Naturally, platinum cost more but the beautiful finish of some of these coins makes it justifiable.
