Have you ever been sued? Okay, have you ever been sued for something incredibly stupid? Well, I have. And I only have myself to blame. I was feeling sorry for my brother, since no one in the family would speak to him. He is awful and I knew it. But his birthday was coming up and I couldn’t help reaching out to him. I sent him a birthday card, hoping that the long years of loneliness had changed him. They hadn’t. A few weeks later, I get a letter in the mail from a group of Orange County auto accident injury lawyers who also handled personal injury cases. Apparently my brother was suing me for a personal injury he sustained in opening his card. He got a paper cut. I haven’t spoken to him since.
