Distilled Water Myths
Business November 7th. 2009, 4:27amThere are a few misconceptions about distilled water, one being that if you have a household water filtration device you are distilling water to the cleanest it can be. WRONG. These machines do not distill your water, all they do is filter it, so it removes some of the impurities but unless the water is distilled properly there will still be some harmful chemicals left in there. Distilled water is also extremely useful in fish tanks, without clean water the fish may actually be poisoned over time by the chemicals that are in normal tapwater, however you do still need some extra suppliments to keep the fish exosystem alive.
